Hi, we’re Stew and Bec, the humans behind Little Buddies 🐾

We have three small children — Max, Noah, and Ivie — who divide their time between here and their mum’s, and who absolutely love dogs.

Dogs have always been a huge part of our lives, and we’ve both grown up with them, giving us years of hands-on experience caring for dogs from childhood right through to today.

Little Buddies was born in May 2024, inspired by our own dog, Banjo. Like many dog owners, we always struggled to find somewhere that felt right when we needed to go away. We didn’t want kennels — we wanted a true home-from-home environment, somewhere Banjo would feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for.

When we realised there weren’t many places offering that kind of setting, we decided to create it ourselves.

Our home has been carefully modified with dog safety, comfort, and enjoyment at the heart of everything we do. Little Buddies isn’t just a business to us — it’s an extension of our family home, designed so dogs can settle in, feel loved, and be treated as part of the family.

Banjo, our rescue dog, is at the heart of it all. He’s soft as a brush and doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He reminds us every day just how special dogs are and how much trust they place in us.

At Little Buddies, we understand how hard it can be to leave your dog behind — because we’ve been there ourselves. That’s why we care for every dog as if they were our own, giving them the attention, comfort, and companionship they deserve.

Indoors, dogs can relax and unwind in cosy, comfortable areas with dog beds and sofas, perfect for both active pups and those who prefer quieter time. Your dog will also have access to a variety of indoor and outdoor toys, ensuring there’s always something fun to do.

We are happy to feed your dog during their stay if needed, providing extra convenience and peace of mind. All dogs are supervised throughout the day, allowing them to socialise positively with other dogs in a safe, caring environment. Whether your dog loves to play, make new friends, or simply needs reliable care while you’re at work, our daycare offers the perfect balance of fun, comfort, and safety.

Comfort Days are designed for dogs who are joining us for longer stays, returning dogs we haven’t seen for a while, or for owners who want to get their dog comfortable with daycare before a future holiday. These special sessions give your dog extra time to get used to our home-from-home environment, our family, and the routines of daycare at a pace that suits them.

During comfort days, your dog can explore our indoor and outdoor spaces, enjoy a variety of toys, and interact with the family and other friendly dogs under calm, supervised conditions. These sessions help build confidence, reduce anxiety, and ensure your dog feels safe, happy, and relaxed before starting regular daycare or a longer overnight stay.

Comfort Days give owners peace of mind, knowing their dog is gradually adjusting to a new environment, making future visits or holidays stress-free for both you and your dog

Because the studio is part of our home, dogs feel relaxed and at ease — no unfamiliar environments or stressful setups. Whether your pup is playful, gentle, curious, or a little shy, we take the time to let their personality shine through naturally.
